Mud And Marriage Meet Up In Toronto Kansas

TORONTO, Kan. (WIBW) -- Fans who made it to the 2014 Toronto's Days Mud Run east of Wichita Sunday got an extra surprise, a wedding.

Jared Baylor and Taylor Ratcliff had been planning their unique matrimonial mud fest for months, and had managed to keep it a surprise to everyone but their closest family.

Because the two are avid mud boggers, it seemed only natural to get married doing something they both loved.

Jared revved it up his truck and opened the pipes as he drove his mud truck down into the pit, coming to an abrupt stop about halfway through.

The message was short, but powerful as the “Love Chapter” from 1 Corinthians in the Bible was quoted in their vows.

As the minister told the groom he could kiss his bride, the crowd erupted with cheers for the new couple.

Taylor hitched up her gown and climbed over into the cab of the truck.

The entire wedding ceremony was over as quick as it started, true to the “flash mob” scenario, lasting only ten minutes, but none the more special.

It's not known if the wedding cake was mud flavored.
