MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW)-- A Topeka man was taken to the hospital Tuesday after colliding with a large tractor on I70 in Riley County.

Emergency crews were called just before 9:00 a.m. to a wreck between a box truck and a mowing tractor.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the truck driver, identified as 20-year-old Halston Puett, was westbound on the highway when he left the roadway.

He struck the tractor that was mowing grass nearby, driven by 40-year-old Myron Sessions of Alma.

Puett was taken to Mercy Regional with non-life threatening injuries. Sessions was not injured.

It's unknown why Puett left the roadway.
