Motorcyclist Killed In Friday Wreck Identified

Topeka Police say Scott Harmon, 51, was killed Friday near the intersection of SW Huntoon St. and SW Arrowhead Rd.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police released the name Monday of a man killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV Friday evening in southwest Topeka.

Richard Scott Harmon, who went by his middle name, was killed in the wreck near the intersection of SW Huntoon and Arrowhead.

The wreck happened around 5:30 pm Friday, Topeka Police say a Toyota RAV4 was turning left from Arrowhead Rd. onto Huntoon St. when it collided with the bike, which was heading east on Huntoon St. Huntoon Street was closed for several hours Friday while authorities investigated.

Neither the driver of the SUV or the passenger were hurt. Their names were not released.

Harmon was 51-years-old. The following funeral arrangements were posted by Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home:
