Rain heavy at times will move across northeast Kansas this afternoon and tonight that could lead to flooding. Severe storms are also possible through this evening with 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to the size of quarters.
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The director of the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University was honored Tuesday.
Cindi Morrison will be leaving at the end of the month to become the director of the Appleton Museum of Art in Ocala, Florida.
Morrison worked at the Mulvane Art Museum for more than four years. She oversaw efforts for the museum to gain its accreditation.
She says she is looking forward to her new job. She says the Appleton Museum is much larger, has a bigger staff and has more art in its collection compared to Mulvane. She says she's looking forward to assisting in improving their marketing and promotion efforts to bring more people into the museum.
Morrison says she will miss all the people with whom she's worked in Topeka. She says she was proud to be part of an effort to bring more people of all ages into the museum and watch Topeka blossom into more an an arts community.
