A Wednesday morning joyride went down hill real quick for a couple who ventured off the pavement and in to a newly built pond.
Emergency responders were called to assist in what was originally called a "water rescue" just after 9 AM near 105th and Burlingame Road.
When crews arrived, they found a red pickup mostly submerged in water.
The truck's occupants were both standing outside of the vehicle unharmed.
Officials say the two were off-roading in the fresh mud when the truck slid down the embankment into the water.
Neither the driver or passenger own the property...
