TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A former partner in a Topeka convenience store was convicted Thursday for burglary and assault.
Jurors deliberated for 90 minutes Thursday before finding Monroe Lockhart guilty on all five counts he faced, including aggravated burglary, aggravated battery and aggravated assault.
Prosecutors say Lockhart and two other men broke into a Southeast Topeka mobile home in 2011 to recover items Lockhart believed were stolen from the store.
A woman was burned during the incident. Lockhart's sentencing is set for April 30th.
