Jackson County, Kan. (WIBW)-- A missing Topeka man was found dead in Jackson County early Saturday morning.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse confirmed authorities found a man dead from an apparent gun shot wound in a wooden area about a half mile east of 118th and I Road around 8 a.m. Saturday.
Sheriff Morse says the man was reported missing from Topeka earlier that day. The body was found by Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies and Potawatomi Tribal Officers on the property of a private Jackson County wildlife preserve.
No foul play is suspected. The name of the deceased is being withheld until family members have been notified.
