Military Members Honored At Kaw Valley Rodeo

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Following the parade, folks gathered for the kickoff to the rodeo in Riley County.

It was military appreciation night at the Kaw Valley Rodeo, and lots of residents showed up to show their support for local military families.

If you want to stop by the rodeo Friday, make sure you wear pink! The 7th annual "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" event will take place Friday to raise awareness of breast cancer and support Kansas State University's Johnson Cancer Research Center.

A pink balloon launch during the grand entry will honor cancer survivors.

Fair activities continue through Monday.
