TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka's schools book fair will help in more ways than one.

Chase Middle School is holding a book fair this week. Scholastic set up shop, so students can peruse the pages and purchase a good read. The event coincides with parent teacher conferences, so moms and dads can get excited, too.

Teachers hope the opportunity to have books in their home encourages more reading.

Proceeds from the book fair go to purchase more books for the school's library.
