Mayor Wolgast Signs Proclamation In Support Of Big Brothers Big Sisters

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topeka Mayor Larry Wolgast showed his support for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, in Big way!!

Mayor Wolgast signed a proclamation in support of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization.

The mayor says he wanted to raise awareness of the positive impact mentoring has on a young child's life.

Last year, the agency served 557 children in the Topeka community, currently, there are nearly 200 children on the waiting list.

March 21st kicks off Big Brothers Big Sisters major annual fundraiser, Bowl For Kids Sake.
