TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship and Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, January 18 in the Regency Ballroom of the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center.
The doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the banquet itself starting at 6:30.
Graduating high school seniors who have received college scholarships or community awards will be recognized during the banquet.
Dr. Clayborne Carson, a professor of history at Stanford University and director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute, will speak at the banquet. Live music will be provided by the Lex Norwood Group of Lawrence.
