Manhattan, Kan. (WIBW) -- Manhattan's director of parks and recreation, Curt Loupe, is on administrative leave.

Manhattan City Manager Ron Fehr confirmed the action to WIBW but would not comment on the reason for the leave. He would only say that no criminal allegations are involved.

Loupe has held the position for nearly seven years. He took over in 2006, when the previous director resigned amid theft allegations.

Loupe previously served as director of Topeka's southwest YMCA location.
