RILEY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Riley County jury found a Manhattan man guilty of possessing child pornography on his computer after deliberating for only 15 minutes.

Michael Combs, 35, was convicted of one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child on Thursday, October 25, 2012. His trial was held at the Riley County courthouse this week.

Combs was arrested by Riley County investigators in November of 2011 when his home on Patricia Place in Manhattan was searched by members of the Riley County Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and Special Investigations Unit. Officials said he had been the target of an ongoing investigation involving the possession of child pornography.

Computer forensics were done on Combs' computer to determine how many illegal photos and videos were on it. Prosecutors say he was convicted of having three pornographic videos featuring minors on the computer.

The Riley County Police Department is an active member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, allowing them to track anyone who uses certain file sharing software to access and store material of the young and innocent on their computers.

Combs is scheduled to be sentenced on November 28, 2012 in Riley County District Court.
