MANHATTAN, Kan. -- On Wednesday at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Riley County Police Department made a drug related arrest after an ongoing investigation.
Marcus Bates, 25, of Manhattan, Kansas, was arrested for the offenses of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, sale of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of certain drug precursors and paraphernalia (felony), possession of marijuana, unlawful use of a telecommunication device, unlawful possession of certain drug precursors and paraphernalia (misdemeanor), and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Bates is currently being held at Riley County Jail in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
This arrest stems from ongoing investigations into the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics in the Manhattan and Riley County Area.
