Topeka, KAN. (WIBW)--Police closed a Topeka highway Sunday after a man was hit and killed by a passing car. Kansas Highway Patrol responded just after 1p.m. to the northbound lanes of US-75 at US-24 Highway.
Lt. Harold Tillman said a man was carrying furniture in his F-350 pickup, the furniture then fell off the truck. When the man went to recover the items on the highway's median, he was hit by a Buick Sentra. KHP report 35-year-old Timothy Boster II was died at Stormont-Vail Hospital due to injuries sustained from the incident.
Police closed US-75 and diverted traffic onto US-24 for about an hour.
