TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The man accused of breaking into WIBW-TV and stabbing two employees will undergo a psychiatric exam.
Court records indicate orders were filed to evaluate Ray Miles' competency.
The 48-year old faces charges including aggravated battery, criminal threat and battery for the May 23rd incident. Surveillance video shows him throwing a lamp through a front glass door and physically confronting workers before they tackled him. Two people were punched before it appeared Miles was subdued, but he then pulled a knife, stabbing two people before workers were able to wrestle it away from him.
The Miles case is set for a docket hearing June 21st.
