Man Wanted In Connection With Weekend Standoff Now Behind Bars

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- A man wanted in connection with a weekend standoff is now behind bars.

Trevor Hughes was taken into custody just before noon Wednesday.

He was arrested on criminal threat and carrying a concealed weapon as well as bench warrants.

On Saturday, a SWAT team surrounded a home on Southwest Valley Brook lane after a female called saying Hughes was holding their two year old child, Ambree Hughes inside the home.

When they stormed the home, they found no one inside. Two-year-old Ambree is safe and with her mother.

Hughes is being held on one-million dollar bond.
