(WIBW) -- The man who fatally shot and killed a Mayetta man last winter has been sentenced.
A Jackson County judge sentenced Lloyd Wabaunsee to 13 years in prison, followed by three months of parole after his release.
Wabaunsee had pleaded no contest to intentional second-degree murder in September.
He was charged with shooting Kevin Stanley to death in his home in Mayetta. Authorities say Wabaunsee fled the state with four other people. They were taken into custody a week later near Des Moines, Iowa.
