Man Robs Convenience Store, Takes Clerk's Truck

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Riley County Police are on the hunt for a man they say robbed Dara's convenience store, 1816 Claflin Road, Manhattan, and stole the store clerk's vehicle.

The robbery happened at about 2:40 a.m. Wednesday. Police didn't immediately have a description of the suspect, but say it was a man, armed with a weapon. They plan to release more information on him later in the day.

Police said the suspect fled the convenience store in the clerk's white pickup. The truck was found by a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper at about 8:45 a.m. It had been abandoned in the 6600 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard, which is a few miles north of Manhattan.
