Man Pinned Inside Bulldozer 3 Hours Before Discovered

CORNING, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Havensville construction worker spent three hours pinned inside his bulldozer before he a passerby discovered him.

The Nemaha County Sheriff says 50-year-old Randy Elliott was using a bulldozer to clear trees at a home building site on the southeast edge of Corning around 5:30 pm Monday when a tree somehow came up under the machine and pinned him inside the cab.

A passerby finally heard him calling for help around 8:30 pm.

Elliott was flown to Stormont-Vail in Topeka. The sheriff says Elliott had a leg injury but was alert and talking to authorities when he was taken from the scene.

A Stormont spokesperson confirmed Elliott remained hospitalized Tuesday but further information on his condition was not being released.
