TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Police have a suspect in custody after he claimed to have a bomb inside a Topeka Dollar General Store.

Officers were dispatched to 1910 SW 10th Street around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday after employees evacuated the store because a person inside claimed to have a bomb. Employees say that person wanted to speak to police.

When officers arrived they took the man into custody without any problems. He was transported to the law enforcement center for questioning.

The Topeka Police Bomb Unit was called to the scene and determined that there was no bomb -- only clothing and miscellaneous items.

No arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing.
