OLPE, Kan. (WIBW) -- A three-vehicle accident north of Olpe Tuesday (10/16) evening claimed the life of a Madison, Kan. man.
The Kansas Highway Patrol Online Crash Log reports the accident happened on K-99 at County Road 80 in Lyon County around 6:40 p.m.
According to KHP, a truck driven by Tyler Pettigrew, 23, of Emporia, rear-ended another truck driven by Michael Argabright, 49, of Olpe. The two vehicles were northbound on K-99.
After Pettigrew's truck hit Argabright's, it crossed the center line and hit another truck head-on. That vehicle was driven by Mark Harrison, 59, of Madison. Harrison died of his injuries.
A passenger in Harrison's truck, Jason Harrison, 40, of Madison, was taken to Stormont-Vail with serious injuries. Pettigrew was taken to Wesley Medical Center with serious injuries as well. Argabright did not report any injuries in the accident.
The KHP report shows all men involved were wearing their seat belts.
