TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka bank was robbed Friday for the second time in two weeks. But this time, the suspects didn't get far.

Employees say a white man, who police identified as Robert Gibson, entered Lyndon State Bank, 1535 SW Fairlawn Rd., just before 1:30 pm. They say he had his hand in his jacket, as if he had a weapon, and demanded money. He then got into a red Ford F-150 driven by a man police identify as Jason Foster.

Topeka Police arrested the pair a short time later just eight blocks away at a Conoco gas station at SW 7th and Fairlawn.

Police interviewed Foster and booked him into the Shawnee County Jail on an unrelated city warrant. Gibson was booked for one count of aggravated robbery.

Police say Gibson matches the description of the person who robbed the same bank February 6th, but they continue investigating.
