Local Lemonade Stand Raises Money For Animals

By  |

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__ Some local kids served up some ice cold lemonade to beat the heat and help animals.

Elena, Madison, Courteney and Lydia set up a lemonade stand in the 1300 block of SW High Sunday afternoon.

They decided to raise money for the animals at Helping Hands Humane Society.

The girls said that even though the temperature was in the 100's, they still enjoyed helping for a good cause.

Cars and pedestrians stopped by to cool down with some fresh lemonade. They charged 50 cents per glass.
