Local Couple Holds Fundraiser To Fight Human Trafficking

One local couple paired up with a Kansas City group to battle a growing issue.

Doug and Paula Jacobs held a human trafficking awareness fundraiser at the Burger Stand to benefit Veronica's Voice.

The Kansas City organization helps provide a safe house for those who have fallen victim to human trafficking and sexual exploitation which is a growing concern around the world.

The event featured a silent auction and all proceeds went to benefit Veronica's Voice.
