Law Enforcement, School Officials Take Part In School Shooting Scenario

SALINA, Kan. (WIBW) -

It's part of a three-day training event aimed at addressing school violence awareness, active shooters, and law enforcement response and mitigation.

Attendees will look at different case studies to gather information to plan and prepare for such an incident.

Law enforcement officials can also take part in a training program where they will discuss the key elements for active shooter response and mitigation.

They'll meet Thursday at Fort Hays State University and Friday at Emporia State University.
