Rice Road Raid Names And Photos Released

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two men are in custody after a search warrant was served for weapons and drugs at an east Topeka home Monday morning.

The home's resident, Faustino Soto, 41, was booked into jail on weapons and drug possession charges.

Jose Gonzalez-Salas, 34, was also booked into jail on drug possession charges. Gonzalez-Salas was also held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Several law enforcement agencies joined forces to serve a search warrant for weapons and drugs at an east Topeka home late Monday morning, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI).

Members of the ATF, KBI, Shawnee Co. Sheriff's Office, and Topeka Police Dept. were all on hand for the raid, at 117 SE Rice Road, KBI Special Agent in Charge Mark Mallick said. They began around 10:30 a.m. and were still there four hours later.

An undisclosed number of weapons were taken out of the home and officers were on the scene collecting evidence for several hours.
