Kids Take A Whack At Smash Camp

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__Kids attending Journey Church's Smash Camp got to take a whack at some cars. Literally.

Smash Camp is like VBS, but on steroids according to the church. It started June 10, and runs until the 14th. Children from 3 years of age to grade 6 got to join in the fun.

Kids had the opportunity to beat a car with baseball bats, pry bars, hammers and some other objects. They earned tickets during the week to participate in this smashing good time.

A Dive-In Movie Night at Blaisdell pool, Friday evening from 7-10 pm. will be held to end Smash Camp. Free hotdogs along with games and swimming will be part of the event. And it can't be a movie night without a movie! Wreck It Ralph will be shown on a big screen on the lawn outside the pool.
