Kaw Valley Bank Robber Gets Two Years In Prison

A Topeka man will spend the next 24 months in prison after robbing a bank near Lake Shawnee last year.

Cade Michael Sharples, 37, pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery and was sentenced to two years in federal prison Monday morning.

Sharples admitted to robbing the Kaw Valley Bank on at 3000 SE Croco Road in on September 17, 2013.

Sharples was arrested in Council Bluffs, Iowa after Police released surveillance video of the robbery and received numerous tips from the public.
