Kansas University Students Show Off Research Skills At Statehouse

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Undergraduate students from across the Sunflower State brought their research talents to the Statehouse.

Sixty--nine students from the state's eight regents universities joined their peers in Topeka to present their research to legislators and the general public.

The event highlights the student's scholarship research and creative activity as undergraduate students.

"One is to bring research and scholarship to the state of Kansas to the lay audience. Two, give students the opportunity to present their research. Three, inform our state legislature and community about the great things our students are doing," John Augusto, Assistant Vice Provost for the University of Kansas.

This is the second annual Kansas Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol.
