MANHATTAN., Kan. (WIBW) - A local university president is being recognized as a leader in higher education.
Kansas State University President Kirk Schulz will be receiving the 2012 Chief Executive Leadership award by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
The award recognizes the leadership of a higher education chief executive officer who demonstrates the ability to create a vision and inspire others.
Criteria for nomination included: establishing a positive image for the University, encouraging innovation among employees, supporting advancement, and increasing the University's stature in the community.
Schulz will receive the award in Chicago on December 11.
