(KAKE/AP)-- A Kansas woman is scheduled to be sentenced Friday in connection to the abuse death of her young daughter.
In May, Alyssa Haag of El Dorado entered a guilty plea to Involuntary Manslaughter for the March 2012 death of her daughter, 18-month-old Jayla Haag. She had originally been charged with First-Degree Murder, but reached a plea deal.
Haag is scheduled to be in Butler County Court this afternoon to be sentenced. Her plea agreement calls for a sentence of 31 months in prison.
A coroner said the little girl had extensive bruising, multiple burn scars and six missing teeth. Her boyfriend was also originally charged in the girl's death, but it was dismissed last year.
KAKE News will have a crew in the courtroom for this afternoon's hearing. Check back for updates.
