SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police in Salt Lake City have identified a person found floating in a city pond as a man from Topeka.
38-year-old James D. Panovich's body was pulled from a pond at Fairmont Park in Salt Lake City early Tuesday morning. Police say two people feeding ducks spotted the body floating in the water and crews were called to recover it.
The death is being investigated as suspicious, but authorities do not believe it was homicide. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
Another man was found dripping wet near the area. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
