Kansas First Lady Presents Book Awards

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-The Kansas First Lady was at the Capitol Saturday to honor those who love to read.

Kansas First Lady Mary Brownback along with State Librarian Jo Budler presented awards at the Kansas Book Festival in the house chambers at the statehouse.

The awards recognized winners of the Kansas notable book awards, students who read the most minutes for the read Kansas Read competition and students who wrote stories for the Kansas book writing contest.
