Kansas Education Winners Spoke About The Importance Of Learning

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Members of the State Board of Education heard from a group of Kansas Educational award winners on ways to help students achieve success in the classroom.

Board Members heard from 2013 and 2014 Kansas Principal of the Year Scott Sheldon.

Sheldon said he's proud of his Kansas education and spoke about how well his two children are excelling at Wichita State and K.U.

Kansas Superintendent of the year for 2014, Dr. Rick Doll of Lawrence also spoke about about the three E's his school lives by, excellence, equity and engagement.

Board of Education members also heard from Kristin Ellis, Kansas Middle School Principal of the Year and Paul Erickson 2014 National Distinguished Principal.
