Kansas City Postal Employee Accused Of Stealing Pain Pills

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A U.S. postal employee in Kansas City is charged with stealing pain pills being delivered to patients by mail.

40 year-old Sherry Robertson of Kansas City is charged with five counts of theft of mail by a postal employee and one count of possession with intent to distribute hydrocodone.

An indictment alleges Robertson stole pills from the mail five times from September 2012 to May 2013.

If convicted-- she faces a maximum of five years in federal prison and a fine up to 250 thousand dollars.
