TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-Kansas students may see changes in their school's curriculum.
The Kansas State Board of Education met today to reexamine their priorities for Pre-K -12 education.
Committee members proposed ideas to the board for updating standards on math, science and social studies classes.
"What this new proposed set of standards is trying to do is to balance out content and process how we can have kids use content to think historically and use primary source documents and think critically," said Glenn Wiebe, Social Studies consultant.
Board members said they were impressed with the suggestions. They plan to make decisions by next month's meeting.
