KHP Trooper Now In Serious Condition Following Crash


WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -- A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper seriously injured in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike is recovering.

Master Trooper Da'Von Brame was completing a routine inspection of a semitruck when his vehicle was hit from behind by a Nissan pickup truck near the east Kellogg exit of the Kansas Turnpike Tuesday evening.

He was transported to Wesley Medical Center in serious condition. A hospital spokesperson says Trooper Brame is now in fair condition.
