Two Injured In Plane Crash West Of Holton

(WIBW) - Three Topeka men were injured when a small plane went down west of Holton Thursday night.

The pilot 58 year-old David Osborne of Berryton, and passengers 52 year-old Steve Stutzman of Topeka and 47 year-old Stephen Graff of Topeka were 35 miles from Philip Billard Municipal Airport when the fixed wing single engine aircraft they were riding in began experiencing engine trouble.

The plane went down just before 10 pm south of K-16, west of Hwy. 75 three miles South of Holton.
Osborne attempted an emergency landing and ended up in a ditch, across the street from a home at 22625 N Road.

Osborne and Stutzman were both taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.
The third passenger Stephen Graff sustained only minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
The NTSB will investigate what caused the plane to crash.
