KHP: Chase Suspect Had 18 Pounds Of Pot In Vehicle

Rezgar Gundky

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Kansas Highway Patrol says a man who led them on a 130-mile-per-hour, wrong-way chase on I-70 had 18 pounds of pot in his vehicle.

A trooper tried to pull over 20-year-old Rezgar Gundky of Antioch, Tennessee for speeding Tuesday just east of the K-99 exit in Wabaunsee County. He crashed his vehicle a short time later, near the Maple Hill exit.

Authorities say they used a taser to subdue him and take him into custody.

KHP says a search of the vehicle turned up the marijuana. Authorities say that amount of the drug has a street value up to $180,000.

Gundky is jailed on possible drug and other charges.
