PECULIAR, Mo. (KCTV) -- Raymore-Peculiar High School seniors celebrated their final Hump Day by having a camel on school grounds Wednesday morning.
When students and staff arrived, there was a camel in a fenced in area at the school.
Seniors led by Suzie Lottie organized the "prank," according to Tyler Wornell, who is senior class vice president and the Panther Times editor in chief.
The students worked with administrators to ensure the prank went off without a hitch. A to Z Exotic Animal Adventures of Peculiar provided the camel. Trained professionals provided the camel, which was never in any danger.
If ever an area high school needed some levity this week, it was Raymore-Peculiar.
The school made national headlines last week after a student posted on social media that there would be a Columbine-like massacre at the school.
