TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A new KBI lab on the Washburn campus got a boost in going forward.

Topeka city council members unanimously approved changes to the city code during Tuesday's meeting, designed to make construction on campus a bit easier.

The Washburn University Board of Regents voted in June to begin building the new forensics lab.

During that meeting, President Jerry Farley told board members the project will cost about $3.5 million.
