Kansas Advocates For Better Care is honoring Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Prager with the KABC Caring Award.
The KABC Caring Award will be presented to Prager on October 26 during the organization's annual Stand By Me event in Lawrence.
The organization honors an individual who has demonstrated advocacy and commitment to the care of older Kansans.
Prager held her first public office in 1985 when she was elected the Lawrence city commission and later serving as mayor.
