MANHATTAN -- As of July 1, Kansas State University is part of the four-year concealed carry exemption period. The four-year exemption now allows the university to evaluate adequate security measures, costs and staffing needed for the new law.

Along with the four-year exemption are new signs that have been posted that specifically identify the exemption. The Kansas State University weapons policy remains unchanged during this period.
