K-State Fans Kick Off Purple Power Play

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Kansas State University fans kicked of the start of football season Wednesday night.

Students, staff, alumni and Wildcat fans ventured out for the annual Purple Power Play pep rally. It is being held at City Park this year due to construction on Poyntz.

Attendees took part in lots of K-State-themed activities, including visits with Willie Wildcat and a pep rally to show school spirit.

The festivities continue Thursday night, leading up to Friday 7 pm kickoff against North Dakota State University at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
