Abandoned Building Catches Fire At Juvenile Correctional Complex

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A fire was reported at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex, 1430 NW 25th.

A corrections spokesperson told 13 News the structure that caught fire is an abandon building outside of the facilities secure fence.

No injuries were reported Thursday morning, and the spokesperson said residents were not in danger. Crews continued to fight the fire at 8:30 a.m.
