TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Jury selection got underway Monday in the case of a man charged with killing a woman and wounding her partner.
Jimmy Netherland is charged with two alternative counts of felony first degree murder in the death of Natalie Gibson. He is also charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated battery against Lori Allison.
Gibson and Allison had arrived home from a birthday party in July 2011 when authorities say several robbers approached their vehicle and fired shots killing Gibson and wounding Allison.

About 20 members of the jury pool were dismissed this morning for various reasons including school and work.
