TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A judge said "no" to a kidnapper's lawsuit against the couple he held hostage.

Court records show that on January 9th, a Shawnee County District Court judge dismissed Jesse Dimmick's counter-suit against a couple he held hostage in their Dover home in 2009.

Dimmick claimed he reached an oral contract with Jared and Lindsay Rowley to hide him from authorities. He sought $235,000 for hospital bills and pain and suffering.

The Rowleys originally sued Dimmick for their ordeal.

Dimmick is serving time for the kidnapping. He also has a lawsuit pending against authorities for injuries suffered when a weapon accidentally discharged while he was being taken into custody Sept. 12, 2009.

Authorities had been searching for Dimmick since the afternoon before, when he crashed a vehicle following a chase. He and another man were being sought in connection with a Colorado homicide case.
