TOPEKA, Kan. (AP)- If you are heading out to lunch Wednesday, stop by Jersey Mike’s to give back to the community.
Jersey Mike’s Subs is hosting their 5th annual Day of Giving. The day is part of their Month of Giving. All day on Wednesday, March 25 both Topeka locations will be giving all the days’ proceeds to Silverbackks. Silverbackks is a non-profit organization that that helps the less fortunate and homeless.
Nationwide more than $2.1 million was raised nationally for more than 100 local charities. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than $10 million dollars for local charities. In 2015 the sandwich shop is hoping to raise $2.5 million nationwide for more than 120 local charities.
There are two Jersey Mike’s locations in Topeka. One is at 21st and Wanamaker. A second is at 7th and South Kansas Avenue.
