TOPEKA (WIBW) -- Jam4Dan is back for another year of music.
Jam4Dan started as a memorial celebration in honor of Topeka musician and guitar teacher Dan Falley. The event started in 2008 as a fundraiser for Falley’s family for his final expenses after his death in a traffic accident. Since then the event has grown into a three day festival raising money to award scholarships to young people wanting to learn how to play guitar.
This year’s festival began Friday. On Saturday and Sunday the music begins at noon at the Celtic Fox and does not stop until close. Nearly three dozen acts will perform through Sunday night.
Admission is a suggest $5 a day for adults. Children accompanied by an adult are admitted free of charge. In addition to the music other fundraiser will be offered, including auctions and merchandise.
